A painting that brings the memory of that moment when the storm arrived...

'Storm in the Parana River Delta" watercolor 21× 31 cm. Serie Season's landscapes - small format.

Some time ago I was in the Delta, near Buenos Aires, when a storm unexpectedly hit. I didn't have any art materials with me. I just managed to do a couple of quick pencil sketches and some color notes before the strong wind and the rain started.
Those small quick sketches became the basis for this painting.
I tried to catch that moment immediately before the thunder, the stillness of the water and the silence around me.

Storm means not necessarily destruction, but renovation and rebirth.

Happiness... new exploration in a more loose watercolor portraits

Continuing this wonderful journey in watercolor that I started on 4 July 2024 with my first watercolor ever, I keep going, exploring new ways, new techniques, enjoying more looseness and more vibrant colors.

A hue that I really would like to explore more is the gamut of yellows in all its possibilities.

Here cold yellow lemon combined with fully saturated orange give that kind of vibration that I was looking forward in this portrait.

Portraits of the soul is serie in evolution, that expresses pure emotions captured in one instant. More coming soon!

Happy women´s day !

Today my style is more loose, but still love to paint vibrancy and movement, strength and softness...as when I'm dancing.

It should be interesting to go back to a new series, Fruits 2026, to celebrate this watercolor journey that started 4 July 2024....
